The concept is simple. The problems with carrying a selfie stick are how bulky it is when you take it around with you. Enter Stikbox, a selfie stick folded up into a smartphone case.
The casing looks just like the ordinary kind of casing for an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy 6, until it conveniently turns itself into a selfie stick when needed.
That fact that is a pretty cool idea is one thing — a lot of international publications including the UK’s Daily Mail have picked up on it. But the fact that it makes shooting on the go in Vietnam much safer and certainly more convenient adds additional interest. Take out the phone and stick, take your shot, and then fold and put away again.
The concept of Yekutiel Sherman, at last count, the campaign had 40,000 views in Vietnam in the space of 24 hours. On YouTube it’s been trending — 235,000 views in two weeks and counting. Says Yekutiel about the Stikbox, “Why carry two things when you can carry one?” He might well be right.
