With the list of quotes about his offbeat humour running as long as his heavily-tattooed arms, the former circus performer and biggest beard in comedy is a regular fixture on the UK circuit. With 25 years behind him on the stage, Martin has performed at the Hammersmith Apollo, in an Italian prison, for members of the British Royal family, and in places as far flung as Hong Kong, the US, South Africa, UAE and Singapore. He has also supported superstars with names such as Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan and even, just the once, Tina Turner.
Says Frankie Boyle, “Martin is the act that has influenced me the most, the UK comedy circuit would not be the same without him.” Even the late George Best, one of the best footballers to come out of the British Isles, described Martin as being a “great” comic.
Supporting Martin will be Indonesian-born, Thailand based stand-up Delfin Solomon. A relative newcomer to the circuit, Delfin is a former organiser of and regular performer at the Bangkok comedy club, Bangkok Hilarious, together with Graham Wooding - Graham was one of the performers at our last show. Educated in an international school, he's inspired by the likes of Russell Peters, Chris Rock and Louis CK. His stand-up set is based around current events, travel experiences and living in Thailand.
And also on stage will be Saigon-based, US-born comic, Devin Monaghan. A regular with Stand-Up Saigon, Devin as played the scene in Cambodia, Vietnam and the U.S.
