Portuguese Consulate Opens

With a consulate already located in Hanoi, the Portuguese Embassy in Bangkok is now extending its services to Ho Chi Minh City.

Due to open from Sep. 8, the new consulate will be located at 66/11 Pham Ngoc Thach in District 3 from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

As well as providing consular services for members of the Vietnamese business community looking to obtain a visa to Portugal, it will focus on increasing the trade volume between Vietnam and Portugal. The new consulate’s present goal is to expand bilateral trade between the two nations by 100 percent over the next three years.

To celebrate the opening of the consulate, a ceremony will be held at The Caravelle Hotel (19 Lam Son Square, Q1) on Sep. 7, from 9am to 11am.
